Linda Eastley, AICP

Founding Principal, Campus Planner and Urban Designer

Linda is a principal specializing in college and university planning with multidisciplinary experience in landscape architecture, architecture, urban design, and space planning.

Linda is passionate about being a pollinator of ideas. Clients enjoy her creative energy, and benefit from her ability to tailor client-centered work sessions and to stimulate and arbitrate debate. Linda makes recommendations that have true impacts and creates plans that can be implemented. Linda also is uniquely familiar with the relationship between an institution and its surrounding communities.

As one of ten Commissioners in the Boston Civic Design Commission, Linda regularly reviews and works with proponents on urban design, campus and arts district projects, and is active in the academic environment of greater Boston.  She has enjoyed an eight-year working relationship with the University of Missouri on district- and campus-wide initiatives. Leslie Lee, ASLA

Landscape Architect and Urban Designer

Leslie Lee is an urban designer and planner with a background in landscape architecture and experience encompassing a diverse array of projects including academic campuses, urban districts, waterfronts, and new communities.

Leslie provides strategic, visionary and practical solutions to a variety of challenging and complex environments. She brings a solid understanding of urban form, infrastructure, and larger landscape system issues to the development of conceptual plans and design frameworks. Her multi-disciplinary experiences and team-oriented approach often place her in a leading role to deliver successful urban design and planning projects.

Leslie was formerly at Sasaki Associates, Inc., Martha Schwartz Partners, SWA Group and Urban Strategies Inc. Leslie has taught at RISD and Harvard University Radcliffe Landscape Institute of Arnold Arboretum. Leslie received her Master of Landscape Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Toronto. 

 

Nancy Harrod, NCIDQ

Campus Interior Designer/Student Life

With a depth of experience in both leading multidisciplinary teams and collaborating successfully on teams led by others, Ms. Harrod has developed effective strategies for programming by framing the issues; designing a strong process; and working toward consensus with effective tools for analysis and decision-making. Her more than 20 years as a principal at Sasaki, included planning and design for schools, colleges, universities, other academic institutions and nonprofits.

 

 

Meredith Elbaum, AIA, LEED AP, BD+C

Campus Sustainability

Combining her professional experience as a registered architect with her personal commitment to sustainable design.  In her work, she has accelerated the level of sustainability on colleges and university campuses. Her experience is diverse including developing comprehensive Climate Action plans, conducting renewable energy feasibility studies, designing LEED Platinum Buildings and creating sustainable education material. 

As a leader in the sustainable building industry, in 2008 Meredith co-convened the first-ever summit of sustainability leaders from the most successful design firms. The group continues to gather annually. As a faculty member of the Boston Architectural College she developed and taught a core sustainable design seminar, Thinking Green. In addition, she has lectured on Sustainable Planning and Architecture at Harvard University in its Executive Education Program, speaks regularly at conferences and serves as a guest lecturer at other institutions.
